Laila and The Pigeon
Once upon a time there lived a little girl named Laila. She lived with her sickly grandmother and her aunt and cousin. Laila's grandma is very loved of her. It also with her. On the contrary, his aunt and cousin were very unhappy with Laila because her grandmother more loved Laila. Laila loved to sing. In the sad and happy moments, she always sang. Her voice is very melodious. Everyday Laila always helps her grandmother
One day when Laila came back from washing clothes in the river, she saw a beautiful pigeon sandwiched between the branches of a tree. Laila approached the pigeon then helped her. ''Poor you. Why do you get stuck here.'' Laila caressed the pigeon gently.'' ''How beautiful you are. I wish I can take care of you but surely you already have a master, don't you? Then where is your master? Is he not looking for you? Now go home.'' Laila releases the pigeon and lets it fly
Arriving at home, Laila told the story to her grandmother that she found a beautiful pigeon choked in a tree.
The next day, after returning from washing clothes in the river Laila heard the sound of a very melodious bird chirp. She approached the source of the sound. Apparently the voice came from the pretty pigeon she had helped yesterday. ''It turns out the voice came from you. Really nice. Let's sing together.'' Laila and the pigeon sang melodiously. ''Now I have to go home. My grandmother is waiting at home. You also have to go home.'' Then the pigeon threw a seed of corn from his mouth. ''What's this? Do I have to bring it home?'' Then the pigeon is flying.
When she got home, she went straight to the field to plant the seed. Then she went inside grandma's room and she saw his grandmother lying on the floor. Laila cried. She cried all night. She also sings to amuse herself to overslept.
The next day, when Laila was sweeping the yard, she was surprised that the corn seed she had planted had grown into a large corn. She was even more surprised because the corn was not the usual corn but the golden corn. Laila then picked the corn but she was confused what she should do with the golden corn. She then sell it to a merchant in the market near her home.
Coming home from the market and into the kitchen, Laila's aunt and cousin were very surprised to see Laila bringing a lot of food. ''Where did you get all the ingredients? Don't you steal it ?'' ''No. I sell the golden corn I get in the field.'' ''Golden corn?'' Then aunt and Laila's cousin hurried off to the field to pick up the golden corn. All the corn taken and Laila couldn't get a bit.
For two days Laila has not eaten yet. Her aunt did not allow her to eat because she had sold the golden corn yesterday. She felt sad and hungry. Then she went to the river to look for something. Once there, she saw the pretty pigeon she had met a few days ago. Laila told the pigeon. Then the pigeon flew and motioned to Laila to follow her. Laila arrived at a beautiful and spacious house. Laila came into the house. Suddenly when Laila looked away, she saw a beautiful woman standing in front of her. ''Who are you?'' ''I am the pigeon who bring you until here. Now you can stay with me here.'' Laila is very happy and can live happy again.
